Malibu Beach

Put on your sunglasses and start your car because you will be traveling north on Pacific Coast highway (PCH).From Santa Monica pier toward Malibu.

As you drive through Pacific Coast Hwy parallel to the ocean, you will be cruising on one of the rich and famous playground area. They live in some of the luxurious houses and mansion that are on the hills and also near the beach, on the beach and even some beachfront houses that are practically located on the edge of the water. This houses are so close to the ocean that surf splashes on them. 

As soon as we pass W Sunset Blvd (Topanga State Park) you will reachTopanga State Beach at the end of Topanga Canyon Blvd. This beach is one of the surfers popular spot. There is a picnic area available and is conveniently close to shops and restaurants so you can enjoy the whole day here.

Continuing with our trip North and as soon as you pass Sweetwater Canyon Dr you will get to Malibu Pier
Next to the pier on the north side you will find Malibu Lagoon State Beach, with the historic Adamson House and museum.

Surfrider beach
You will find this beach at the north side of the Malibu pier. This is a popular place for longboarding surfers.

Las Tunas State Beach–Popular area for fishermen and scuba divers. The beach is narrow but with a white smooth sand and rocky area
Nicholas Canyon county Beachsurf, bodyboard and  snorkel diving are popular activities in this area

Continue north and you will get to Malibu Bluffs State Recreation Area
As you continue driving north, you will get to Corral Canyon Rd that will take your to Santa Monica Mountains National Recreational Area
Malibu Surfers
Turn left on Heathercliff Rd and another left on Dume Dr and you will find yourself on Point Dume State Beach – sandstone cliffs and tide pools. The west side area of the beach is called Westward Beach

Paradise cove – Paradise pier – This beautiful area is a private beach, so parking is expensive but will be validated if you eat at the restaurant. This area is used for movies and television shooting. No surfing is allowed

Escondido Beach-(Spanish for hidden beach) As this beach name said, you have to work hard to get to this secluded and mostly residential beach.

Corral State Beach aka Solstice Beach with a narrow sandy strip that is ideal for a romantic walk by the beach.

You can continue north to Zuma beach county park where you will find a wide sandy beach, showers, restrooms, dressing rooms, snack stand, volleyball nets, large parking lot and other facilities to make you a pleasent stay at the beach.

If you continue north to Robert H Meyer Memorial State Beach walks through coves and cliff foot strands beach, were you will have to get your camera and your photographer eyes ready, because in this area there are also 3 small beaches that are 1 mile apart from each other and they are picture beautiful. Which are ideal places if you want to work on your sun tan, surfing, diving kitesurfing or swimming.

- Enjoy a romantic picnic on smooth white sand surrounded by rock formations, dramatic cliffs and a series of caves. Excellent and inspiring place for photographers and film makers.
 
28 miles North from Santa Monica you will find the last Malibu beach Leo Carrillo State Beach (named after the preservationist and conservationist actor) at the border of Ventura County line.
 
Here you have 1.5 miles of sandy beach, were people can enjoy swimming, surfing, windsurfing. Or if you prefer to explore several coastal caves, reefs, or search for shells on the tide pools. You will find very interesting rock formations that distinguish the scenery here.
This area also count with a canyon park with campgrounds facilities with giant sycamores trees and trails for back county hiking
